Forza Motorsport Track List: Every Real Circuit and Fictional Course (2026)

This page lists every track currently available in Forza Motorsport, the 2023 reboot developed by Turn 10 Studios. As of May 14, 2026, the game has shipped 20+ circuits across post-launch Updates 1 through 18+, mixing iconic real-world venues such as Le Mans, Spa, Nurburgring Nordschleife and Suzuka with returning Turn 10 fictional locations like Maple Valley and Hakone. If you’re deciding between the simulation circuit racer and the open-world franchise, see Forza Motorsport vs Forza Horizon 6 — Horizon 6 launches May 19, 2026 and is a separate game with a separate track structure. The Forza Motorsport car list is the natural companion to this page.

Launch Track Lineup: 20 Circuits (October 2023)

Forza Motorsport launched on October 10, 2023 with 20 tracks, of which five were brand-new to the Forza series: Hakone (a Japan-themed fictional mountain circuit), Kyalami (South Africa), Mid-Ohio, Mugello and Yas Marina. The remaining 15 were returning real-world circuits rebuilt from scratch using laser-scanned data and the studio’s new ForzaTech engine. Every launch circuit shipped with multiple layouts — full course, club, short, and alternate configurations — making the usable ribbon count considerably higher than 20. For players looking to race all of them in career mode, the Forza Motorsport Builders Cup guide covers which events use which layouts.

Post-Launch Tracks Added via Free Updates

Turn 10 has added new tracks via free monthly content updates since launch. The most-requested addition was the Nurburgring Nordschleife, which arrived in Update 5 (March 2024) as a free download for all players — both the standalone Nordschleife and the full 24.4 km Nurburgring Combined layout (GP + Nordschleife) used by the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. Every post-launch track has been free; no track has been sold as paid DLC.

Several circuits have also received new layout variants after launch — Daytona gained a Road Course ribbon and some venues added dedicated night-only configurations. Exact additions from Update 14 onward through May 2026 are not fully documented on a single official Forza.net page; the in-game Track Selection screen is the authoritative current list. Fictional Tracks: Maple Valley, Hakone and Returning Originals

Forza Motorsport’s fictional circuits are designed by Turn 10 to fill real-world geography gaps and to give the series its own signature venues — a tradition dating back to the original 2005 Xbox game. The 2023 reboot carried forward two fictional locations at launch.

Confirmed fictional tracks in the 2023 reboot:

  • Maple Valley Raceway — the Pacific Northwest fan-favourite returning from earlier Motorsport titles, rebuilt with dynamic time-of-day, fall foliage and a complete visual overhaul.
  • Hakone — a new Japanese mountain circuit near Mount Fuji, designed with significant elevation changes and night/wet variants.
  • Grand Oak Raceway — a large countryside circuit referenced in the launch trailer. (unconfirmed)

Classic Forza fictional circuits not present in the 2023 reboot at launch include Sunset Peninsula, Bernese Alps and Camino Viejo de Montserrat. Turn 10 has stated they intend to add more legacy fictional venues over time, but no specific roadmap for returning fictional tracks has been published. (unconfirmed)

Track Features: Ray Tracing, Time of Day, Dynamic Weather

Every track in Forza Motorsport supports three signature dynamic systems on Xbox Series X and PC. Ray-traced reflections run during gameplay — car bodies, helmets and track puddles reflect the environment in real time, a first for the Motorsport series. Dynamic time of day runs a full 24-hour cycle on supported circuits, complete with star fields, sunrise glare and headlight-only night sections. Dynamic weather — rain, drying line modelling and changing track temperature — is active on selected venues including Le Mans, Spa, Nurburgring and the Nordschleife, enabling realistic endurance-style sessions.

Xbox Series S runs a reduced graphical preset (30 FPS visual mode or 60 FPS performance mode) but supports the same track list and the same time-of-day and weather systems. Steam Deck and lower-end PCs can target 60 FPS at low settings on smaller circuits.

Laser-scanned circuits in the launch lineup include Le Mans, Spa, Silverstone, Suzuka, Catalunya, Watkins Glen, Laguna Seca, COTA, Daytona, Indianapolis, Road America, Mid-Ohio and VIR — though the full confirmed list of laser-scanned venues has not been published by Turn 10. (unconfirmed)

Comparison vs Forza Motorsport 7 (2017)

Forza Motorsport 7 shipped with 32 tracks and over 200 ribbons — more than the 2023 reboot’s 20-circuit launch lineup. Turn 10’s stated strategy with the reboot was to prioritise visual quality and laser-scan accuracy over sheer volume, adding tracks gradually as free updates rather than launching with a large but visually inconsistent roster. The gap has narrowed since 2023, with the 2026 library now at roughly 24+ circuits (unconfirmed), but FMS7 still holds the raw numbers advantage.

Where the reboot wins: every venue features gameplay-time ray tracing, a full dynamic weather system with a drying racing line, and ground-up laser-scanned geometry. Several FMS7 circuits that felt dated — compressed run-off areas, flat lighting — have been rebuilt to a noticeably higher standard.
