911 Lineage in FH5: From 1973 Carrera RS to 2023 GT3 RS

The 911 is Porsche’s deepest sub-roster in FH5, with more than twenty entries spanning fifty years of air- and water-cooled cars. No other model family in the game comes close to this breadth of generational coverage.

Air-cooled classics anchor the older half of the list. The 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS is the original lightweight homologation special; the 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 represents the wide-body 930 Turbo era. From there the roster branches into the more exotic: the 1989 Porsche #65 Rothsport Racing 911 ‘Desert Flyer’ is a safari-style 964, the 1990 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer DLS is the Williams-developed Singer collaboration, and the 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 by Gunther Werks is a 993-based restomod. Rounding off the air-cooled chapter are the 1995 911 GT2 (the road-going 993 GT2) and the 1998 911 GT1 Strassenversion — the Le Mans homologation road car.

Modern 911s begin with the 2004 Porsche 911 GT3 (996 generation) and the 2010 Porsche 911 Sport Classic (997), then accelerate through the 997 swansongs — the 2012 GT2 RS and 2012 GT3 RS 4.0 — before hitting the 991 generation’s greatest hits: the 2014 911 Turbo S, 2016 911 GT3 RS, 2018 911 GT2 RS, and the 2018 factory GT3-spec customer racer. The 2019 model year brings three 911s simultaneously: the 911 Carrera S, the 911 GT3 RS (and its Forza Edition twin), and the 911 Speedster. The 992 generation closes the set with the 2021 GT3, and then the 2023 crop adds the GT3 R, GT3 RS, and the Dakar-inspired 911 Rallye.

Race variants push the 911 story into Le Mans territory: the 1970 #3 917 LH and 1971 #23 917/20 ‘Pink Pig’ are the legendary Le Mans prototypes, the 2017 #92 GT Team 911 RSR is the factory IMSA/WEC racer, and the 2019 #70 Porsche Motorsport 935 is the 991-based 935 tribute car.

Porsche Supercars, Hypercars and Le Mans Icons

Beyond the 911, FH5’s Porsche lineup includes most of the brand’s halo models, giving players access to the full arc of Porsche’s performance history in a single game.

The 2003 Porsche Carrera GT sits at S1 845 PI — the naturally aspirated V10 hypercar that many consider the last of the pure analogue supercars. Above it on the performance ladder is the 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder, the hybrid hypercar at S2 920 PI and one of only a handful of FH5 Porsches to reach the S2 class. The 1998 Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion (S1 840 PI) adds the road-going version of Porsche’s 1998 Le Mans winner.

The Le Mans story runs deeper with the 1970 Porsche #3 917 LH (S1 856 PI) and the 1971 #23 917/20 ‘Pink Pig’ (S1 849 PI) — two of the most recognisable racing cars in motorsport history. Older still is the 1966 Porsche 906 Carrera 6, the mid-engined fiberglass racer that bridged the 904 and 910 eras.

On the technology showcase side, the 1987 Porsche 959 (A 764 PI) remains the definitive Group B road car. At the electric end of the spectrum, the 2022 Porsche Mission R (S2 925 PI) is the all-electric customer racing concept, currently the highest-PI Porsche in FH5 among the non-race-livery entries. Factory and customer GT racers are covered by the 2017 #92 GT Team 911 RSR (S2 910 PI), the 2018 911 GT3 R (S1 890 PI), and the 2023 911 GT3 R (S1 890 PI), alongside the 2019 #70 Porsche Motorsport 935 (S2 932 PI).

Porsche.com itself describes Forza Horizon 5 as featuring “nearly 40” Porsches in its own feature article, while the Kudosprime FH5 database lists 52 model entries when including duplicates such as the Taycan Turbo S Welcome Pack and the Forza Edition variant.

SUVs, EVs and Rally Porsches in FH5

FH5’s Mexican setting plays well to Porsche’s recent push into SUVs, EVs and rally machinery, and the roster reflects that breadth.

SUVs and crossovers are represented by three entries. The 2018 Porsche Cayenne Turbo is the second-generation luxury SUV at A 744 PI. The 2018 Porsche Macan LPR Rally Raid is the Dakar-prepped Macan, sitting at B 637 PI in the rally/off-road set. The 2019 Porsche Macan Turbo is the road-going compact SUV at B 695 PI.

Electric vehicles span three models: the 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo S (S1 807 PI) is the launch-era flagship; the 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo S ‘Welcome Pack’ is the variant players received as a Welcome Pack reward, tuned to S1 900 PI; and the 2022 Porsche Mission R is the all-electric customer-racing concept at S2 925 PI.

Rally and off-road Porsches form a particularly compelling subset given the game’s landscape. The 1985 Porsche #185 959 Prodrive Rally Raid (A 742 PI) is the legendary Paris-Dakar variant. The 1989 Porsche #65 Rothsport Racing 911 ‘Desert Flyer’ (B 694 PI) is a safari-style 964. The 2018 Macan LPR Rally Raid doubles as both a crossover and a genuine dirt machine. The newest addition to this group is the 2023 Porsche 911 Rallye (A 800 PI), the Dakar-spec 911 added via Festival Playlist.

The Mission R and the 2023 911 Rallye were Festival Playlist additions and, like every other former Playlist-exclusive, are now collectable from the Backstage Shop following the March 26, 2026 update.

Porsche Additions from FH5 DLC, Car Pass and Festival Playlist

Forza Horizon 5 launched with 28 Porsches on November 9, 2021, then expanded the lineup steadily through Car Pass drops, paid car packs, seasonal Festival Playlist rewards, and expansions.

At launch (November 9, 2021): 28 Porsches. The launch roster ran from the 1959 Porsche 356A 1600 Super up to the 2020 Taycan Turbo S. GTPlanet’s pre-launch confirmed list documents all 28, including the 918 Spyder, Carrera GT, 959, and 911 GT1 Strassenversion.

Car Pass. Porsche.com confirms that the 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster is part of the Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass, becoming available from April 22, 2022. It is also sold as a standalone DLC unlock on both Steam and Xbox.

Festival Playlist additions (2022–2024). Subsequent seasonal updates added a substantial list of Porsches that were not in the launch game, including:

  • 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0
  • 1990 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer - DLS
  • 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 by Gunther Werks
  • 1998 Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion
  • 2017 #92 GT Team 911 RSR
  • 2019 #70 Porsche Motorsport 935
  • 2022 Porsche Mission R
  • 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (added via Horizon Track Day update, per Porsche.com)
  • 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 R
  • 2023 Porsche 911 Rallye

Rally Adventure (March 29, 2023). No Porsche was confirmed as a Rally Adventure expansion-exclusive unlock car. Rally-themed Porsches such as the Macan LPR Rally Raid and the 911 ‘Desert Flyer’ pair naturally with the expansion’s events, but whether any were tied exclusively to Rally Adventure remains unconfirmed (unconfirmed).

As of the March 26, 2026 Backstage update, every previous Festival Playlist-exclusive Porsche is available to collect directly from the Backstage Shop, removing the need to have participated in specific weekly seasons.
